Terribly planned last minute 6 day roadtrip from Seattle to LA, any advice?
Hi! Me and my girlfriend are flying into Seattle Saturday night and going to rent a car and roadtrip down to LA, flying back home the Saturday morning after. I know it's not the longest or an ideal length to cover the insane amount to see out there, but it's what we got! Due to a bunch of circumstances, we have almost zero planning done on the route. We have some ideas on things to aim for based on some previous posts I found about similar trips, but I'm looking for some more specialized suggestions maybe for March (such as I'm debating between heading through Olympic or Rainier). Trying to basically find the most efficient route we can to see the most and cover a variety of scenery and whatnot.
Also, neither of us have been out in that area whatsoever.
We're mostly into nature stuff. I think above anything we would like to see lots of beautiful coast and ocean and forests. Mountains are obviously awesome, too. Seeing hot springs or other volcanic spectacles would be cool. Would love to try and hit Olympic (though I seem to see that can be pretty time consuming, so maybe Rainier instead?), the Redwoods, and Yosemite. Unfortunately most of this is pretty off the coast I think and we reaaaaallly wanna see some beautiful coastlines. Also kinda interested in Crater Lake and maybe hit up a winery if we can manage to have time.
Bonus points for not too busy scenic roads that won't be too out of the way.
Also open to cool ideas of places to stay or eat.
We don't need it to be perfect or anything, but just want to see some beautiful sights and have a great time.
Thanks for any help! It's greatly appreciated. We're a little stressed trying to make sure we have even a slight idea for what we're going to be doing honestly...
