Need advice on around the world trip
I currently live in Atlanta and am trying to travel to Europe, South Korea, and Japan.
Background: spending summer before grad school begins. I'm planning a vacation before 10 years of hell starts, but I don't know which direction I should start. My trip will most likely start mid May. Will spend 2-3 weeks in Korea+Japan. Spend 3-4 days in Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Amsterdam. Barcelona including nearby countries will be 3 weeks+. Iceland and Faroe island for 2 weeks or less depending on budget.
Will travel solo
Budget: Not really limited, but not really looking for extravagant travel. Backpacking, hostel, and cheap alcohol.
Plan 1
Atl- Iceland-Faroe island- Bergen- Stockholm- Copenhagen- Amsterdam- Barcelona and spend until mid July- Korea- Japan- Korea or back home.
Pros: cheaper plane ticket, off season Cons: missing out on midnight sun, not the best weather
Plan 2
Atl- Korea-Japan- and/or Korea- Barcelona- Amsterdam- Copenhagen- Stockholm- Bergen- Faroe island- Iceland- back home
Pros: get to see the midnight sun, better weather Cons: more expensive, touristy
Need advice on transportation (rental car vs trains vs planes). Recommendations where to visit during Spain, Portugal, France in 3 weeks.
Either way I think it's gonna be the best summer; but is it worth to spend more to see midnight sun?
Also taking recommendations on travel credit cards (i.e. Chase, Bofa, Amex, Delta... etc)
P.S. Also taking recommendations on DSLR/mirrorless camera. Maybe excluded from consideration of the budget.
