First solo trip to Europe

Hello! I just booked my first solo trip to Europe for mid-October. I'll be flying into London and staying for probably 1-2 nights. From there, some countries and cities I'm interested in visiting are:

  • Spain - Madrid, Granada, Valencia, Barcelona
  • France - Paris
  • Italy - Positano, Rome, Pompeii
  • Germany - Berlin, Munich
  • Switzerland - not sure
  • Netherlands - Amsterdam

I'm looking to stay around 5-6 weeks. I've already been to Spain and London before but I would love to see Spain again and spend more time there. I will probably only spend a couple days in Paris and then I would like to stay in Italy for a week or longer. About Germany, how many of you would recommend either Berlin or Munich? I would love to go but am worried I will be rushing through countries so I was wondering if I should cut one out to spend more time in other places.

I also don't know too much about Switzerland but it looks beautiful and I love the mountains. I'm assuming it will be quite chilly in Oct-Nov? I'm from Arizona so it might be a shock hahaha. From there, I would probably fly out of Amsterdam for the end of my trip.

Some things about me: I'm 23 and from Arizona. I've traveled solo before but only in the U.S., my other time in Europe was with a group. I speak basic Spanish and am hoping to practice a lot more and be able to hold conversations while there. I love walking around cities, museums, nature and hiking, as well as outdoor activities and meeting new people. As far as my list goes, do you guys have any recommendations on cities or countries? If you've been to any of these cities, what has been your favorite part about it? What has been your favorite way to experience the culture? Hiking trail recommendations would be great as well!

Finally, I'm looking to budget about $3000-4000 (excluding flights). I'll mostly be staying in hostels and air bnb's, but I would also like money leftover for events/attractions, food, souvenirs, etc. Does this seem realistic?

Thanks for the help!
