First solo trip planning- London!
Hello Solo Travel! I am very new to this sub and solo travel. I’m planning my first solo trip in May to London. Below I have all my details. I’d appreciate any advice or tips, if I’m posting this wrong please let me know! Like I said, very new at this!
My trip is scheduled for a Thursday - Monday, Thursday and Monday travel.
My flights are one way from DC to Heathrow/ Heathrow to DC for $830. I understand I could find cheaper flights, but I’m a nervous flier and airports stress me out, I’d rather pay extra to have the simplicity of a one way flight.
I’ve read if you’re landing in Heathrow, best option is to take the Heathrow Express and stay in Paddington as it’s close to the Tube.
Friday my plan is visit the big tourist attractions, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, London Bridge, and in the evening go to one of the markets. I’m thinking these places will be less crowded on a weekday.
Saturday I definitely want to go to the Warner Brothers studio to see the Harry Potter tour, which takes 3-4 hours. I’d also like to take a boat tour of the Thames that day.
Sunday I’m still unsure of what to do. I figure I’ll have some sights or museums I’ll want to visit, or maybe see some street art.
My budget for the whole trip is under $3k, which I think is enough.
Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated!
