City to add on to Portugal trip?

I'm planning a trip to Portugal in early September and would like to spend 10-14 days in Europe since I'll be flying from California. What would be a good city/cities to tack on the trip, since that seems like too long to spend in Portugal. I'm not totally sold on Spain which I know would be the easy/obvious choice.

I have been to Vienna, Berlin, London, and Prague recently so those are off the table. Berlin was my favorite if that helps (Prague a close 2nd). I'm a twenty something female and will be going solo and my budget is low to mid range. I like food, gorgeous scenery, outdoorsy things, architecture, walking around and aimlessly exploring.

I was thinking about Morocco but not sure if I should plan that as a separate longer trip, also unsure about how safe it is for a solo female traveler.
