Advice on my Central Europe itinerary
Hi friends
I'm planning a trip through central Europe around Labor Day. I'm actually tacking 2 weeks vacation onto the Labor Day weekend for about 2.5 weeks total. I have already done a few revisions and ended up with the following (and I'm aware these are brief stays):
Dubrovnik - Fly overnight from NYC on Fri 8/31, arriving Sat. Stay until Tues 9/4
Sarajevo - 9/4 - 9/8
Bucharest - 9/8 - 9/12
Budapest - 9/12 - 9/15 (main purpose there is to visit a friend)
Prague - 9/15 - fly home 9/18
What do you guys think about this? I know it's pretty ambitious and I don't normally city hop but this might be my last vacation for a while since next year I'm moving full time to Panama and my income is going to decrease. So I want to address my bucket list.
I'm interested in any tips on anything to do in these specific cities (I like history, booze, food, music of all kinds, booze, and most museums) and any general thoughts and observations or anecdotes. Important detail is that I don't drive. And what's up with the requirement to register with police in Bosnia?
Thanks in advance!
