Travel "hacks" that make life a lot easier.
Two years ago, I quit my boring corporate job and moved to Korea to teach. Since then, it's become commonplace to hop on a bus, train, or plane every time I have a long weekend and visit somewhere completely new. I'm leaving this evening for four days in Hong Kong (!!!) and realized that my packing list spreadsheet keeps shrinking because of some changes I've made to make traveling easier:
- Started treating my long, curly/frizzy hair with at home-keratin treatments so that I don't need to pack any hair styling tools or products outside of a comb.
- Got LASEK. No more contacts or glasses!
- Have pre-packed bags for toiletries and make-up so that they can just be tossed into my backpack when I'm leaving town.
- an IUD makes birth control and pill timing so much less of a concern than it was in the past
- We've got this equivalent of TSA pre-screen in the US that gets me through immigration ASAP.
Anyone else wanna share their super time-saving tips? Alsoooo if you want someone to get a beer with in Hong Kong, let me know!
