Random thought from the summer. Car camping with AC running all night?
It's easy to add a few extra blankets for warmth in the winter, but in the summer there's only so much you can do. Is it safe/okay for the car to run the AC all night? Not planning to adopt this as an every night method but on those "man we've already had two bad nights of sleep and have a big day tomorrow" kind of nights. Even if it took a full tank of gas for ~8 hours of idling/AC, an extra tank of gas is at least half the price of a hotel. Comments? Is this a big no that I just haven't heard about? And does it transfer to running the heat in the winter?
