Los Angeles to New Orleans. Forced “road trip,” now I want to get out ASAP.
Sorry if I sound picky or come across wrong, I’m just really done and need to get out of this environment, but I can’t do it how I did last time.
So, I drove to here, Los Angeles, with my mom (who’s older) and my dog (who is sensitive and has seizures). We had to come here for family reasons, and now we really need to get back home, New Orleans, after being stuck here for nearly six months.
The problem is... The drive fucking sucks. Like really sucks. I did it in three days straight through the desert, and I refuse to drive 8-10 hours a day again like that. It’s scary and it’s boring. Not to mention the intense drives made my dog have a “breakthrough” seizure.
Rather, I’d like to take an actual road trip with them this time, upwards of a week or even more if necessary, potentially staying a day at certain places for fun, activities and sight-seeing. I want to travel to safe places, populated areas and cities, etc. I don’t want a largely desert and barren drive. Five hour drives are ideal, eight will be pushing it. I’m thinking of starting with Las Vegas. Budget, time, etc aren’t issues here.
I think this is a good way to avoid the bullshit drive here. Even going around Texas and to places like Salt Lake City, Denver, etc would be totally fine by me. I just want out and need help with it. Again, time, budget, etc aren’t an issue here. Thanks so much!
