Honest Question: I know Im going to get down voted. Isn't traveling to "major" cities in Europe a waste of time and money?
I don't get it. Im in New york right now. Ive been to the Metropolitan museum, statue of liberty, central park. To be honest very boring. IDC.. Like if I was european and visited New york and paid 4k for a trip I would be devastated. Constant traffic, expensive places, lines at the museums, fees to get in, etc etc
So I was thinking I should do a mass European trip to Rome, Paris, Amsterdam, Barcelona and I can't help think that the only thing there is to do is visit museums, archeological sites, eating their food (which I can here at New York too), Basically visit their Statue of liberty (eiffel tower), Their metropolitan museum ( rome, vatican)
So what the hell is the point if the only thing a European travel comes down to is visiting museums and old sites and eating their food?! Like if there isn't an activity like clubbing, or exercise or whatever then what the hell is the point of going to Rome, Amsterdam Barcelona Berlin? Just to say you have been there? I don't want to come off as a cultural philistine either. You can look up all the great artwork and listen to all the great music on a 6 foot monitor you put in your household. Sure its not the same but it gets the job done. ITs not a drastic difference as sex where watching porn and actually having sex makes a big difference.
