I’m planning a trip to New Zealand in mid May(11-19th). I realize that this will be fall for New Zealand, I wanted to make sure my itinerary is appropriate for the time of year it will be there. Fly to Auckland and drive immediately to Hamilton. From there check out the Waitomo Caves one day and the Hobbiton movie set another. Also may enjoy a hike in this area. Drive up to The Coromandel and check out Cathedral Cove and maybe spend a day at the beach. By then I’ll have a few days left and I’d drive back to Auckland and check out the city before departing. Obviously I don’t have as much time as I’d like. Anyway, would anyone change or add anything to this? I can’t believe how much there is I want to see and do, I’m getting overwhelmed.
