First time solo travel to Thailand and Bali (25m)

I have a month off of work and plan to go to 2 places I've always wanted to check out. The issue is I will be going in March which doesn't leave a lot of time for planning. I'd like a nice mix of quiet relaxation and meeting people/partying. I've read through some of the older posts of these areas but I would like some recent opinions on places that I should check out. I'm social and will make the best of it regardless. I plan on staying in Thailand for 2 weeks then Bali for 2. I have my Canadian motorcycle license so it would be cool to rent a bike. I think I have Bali somewhat figured out but kind of clueless as far as Thailand goes. I'd appreciate any responses

Also any hostel/hotel recommendations?
