Do you have a good social life when you're home and not traveling?
Some of my best memories from the last three years are from my travels. I'm often very social and approachable when I'm in hostels and I often find a fun group to spend time with when I'm traveling abroad.
However, despite living in one of the world's top cities, I'm quite often alone and bored while at home. I do have friends, but sometimes I spend a whole week without seeing one of my friends since we're all so busy and I'm having a tough time finding high-quality friends whose company I genuinely enjoy. Other times, I'm so mentally exhausted from work that I don't make an effort to see my friends since I just want to relax at home. Other times, I just really enjoy being along and not talking to people.
Does anyone else feel this way? Does anyone else think that most of their social highlights from the last year come from your travels rather than your time at home? Is this a problem?
Also, this may be due to me spending 50-51 weeks of the year at home rather than traveling, but the lack of vacation days doesn't help either.
