What to do with luggage and travel insurance?
Hi all, you were all really helpful on my last post so I thought I'd put one more question to you guys!
Like I said before I plan to undertake my first solo trip by travelling to quite a few countries namely Vietnam, Japan, North America and South America. One of the queries I have is to do with baggage and whether I should take a suitcase or a backpack? I was leaning more towards a backpack as I think in the long term it will be easier and better to travel around with one. Additionally, some of my journeys being made will be on budget airlines which have baggage restrictions such as Norwegian/ Spirit/ Southwestern. I've had a look at backpacks such as Osprey 40L but was wondering whether these would be suitable enough?
Another question I have is regarding travel insurance. As I am going to many different countries would I need to buy different types of insurance or would one type of insurance be able to cover my travels? Additionally, I don't really have a set date on coming home and just plan to go with the flow for a few months so would not having an end date be problematic in getting insurance?
