Solo travel without socialising
The majority of posts here seem to recommend staying in communal hostels and meeting people to do things with on your travels, but the idea of putting myself out there (and feeling pressured to socialise) seems like a huge stress that I don't need from something I'm potentially spending a lot of money on. I get that this is the best way of doing things for most people, but I think for me personally it would defeat the point of getting away in the first place.
Has anybody had positive experiences of travelling alone, and remaining alone? Can you recommend places to travel that are enjoyable on your own, and where people won't look at me like the lonely loser that I am when seeing the sights? Is Airbnb the best way to go about this sort of trip? Am I the only person who is this socially retarded?
