SE Asia Itinerary Help
Hello,
I am looking to finish my itinerary for my 7 week trip to Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia. I would greatly appreciate any advice on improving it, finding places and activities off the beaten path, or anything I missed. I have researched a bunch of the places and budget concerns. I want to keep the trip somewhat inexpensive but I am not on a shoestring budget. The one big hitch is that I am meeting my friend for the last three weeks of the trip. I believe the best place to meet would be in Ha Noi, but that depends on if I need to switch up my itinerary that much. Thanks in advance!
Arrive in Bangkok 3/16 - 3 days in city Leave 3/20 --- Thi Lo Su - Waterfalls 1 Day Leave 3/21 --- Bus to Chang Mai for 4 days (Cooking class, massage, elephant sanctuary) Leave 3/26 --- 3 Days in Pai Leave 3/30 --- Chang Rai for 2 days Leave 4/2 --- Slow boat to Luang Prabang 2 Days 2 in Luang Prabang Leave 4/7 --- Flight to Hanoi 2 days Leave 4/10 --- 3 Days in Halong Bay Leave 4/14 --- 1 Day for Dhong Nha Cave Leave 4/16 --- 2 days for Da Nang Leave 4/19 --- Ho Chi Minh City 3 Days there Leave 4/23 --- Phnom Penh 1 Day Leave 4/25 --- 3 Days in Angkor Wat Leave 4/30 --- Fly to Ko Phi Phi for 3 days of scuba and 1 day of full moon party on 4/29 --- Bangkok for a few days. Peace Southeast Asia ---
So couple things, is this timeline accurate or realistic? Is there anything I could cut out that isn’t worth seeing? If this is realistic, I need to trim a couple days to make sure I get to Ko Phagnan for the full moon party. Is scuba diving worth not exploring the island is the south? thanks a lot guys, really appreciate it.
