Advice for an Aussie travelling to Vegas from Boston
I am a 20 year old Australian who has family in Boston who I occasionally visit. This year I 'm planning to head over and stay in Boston with family for a couple of days before I travel by myself to Vegas to meet up with a friend. I will probably spend around 10 days in Vegas before heading back home to Australia.
As an Aussie who has never travelled solo and doesn't have much of an idea of how things work in America I have a few questions.
-
Am I able to book and check into a hotel under the age of 21?
-
What are some decently priced hotels for a student traveller who isn't looking for anything too flashy? Ideally I would like to have my own place but I may not end up spending a lot of time in my hotel room as I may stay over at my friend's place as long as that's not an issue for them.
-
I am underage and not really interested in gambling so what are some other interesting things I can do in Vegas (Activities/Restaurants) and how much spending money would I need?
-
Would Airbnb be a better option for accommodation if i'm not interested in gambling? My friend in Vegas lives in the suburbs so not being able to stay in the main strip area isn't a big issue for me.
Thanks!
