I am a US citizen who is planning to travel to India for at least 6 months and possibly for a year. Hiking,trekking,driving motorcycle a bit,scuba diving. I Currently stopped paying for Health Insurance since I thought I won’t need it for my travel. I’m only interested in being covered for medical purposes (not a travel insurance, trip cancelation etc’). I checked with a few companies like Geo Blue and world nomads they all over good coverage while being on the road. However my concern that if something bad happens and I will be sent back to the U.S and won’t have any coverage. Being insurance in the U.S is A lot of money, I was planning of traveling on a $1k a month budget without the medical Insurance, But the Medical Insurance + Home Insurance is going to end up towards an additional $400 a month which is too much for me.
