Hitting LA to check out living there. Could use some advice!
I visited LA by ‘accident’ almost a year ago. I can’t stop thinking about living there, so I’m doing a week out there soon to see if it really is a place I’d like to live and go to grad school.
So - what are some good tourist-y things to do as well as a way to see if I could handle life on the west coast? I’m a 20-something east coaster who has solo travelled before (in more treacherous places).
I’m thinking Joshua Tree as tourist-y (please don’t send me to Hollywood Blvd), and sitting in rush hour traffic as a way to test the local-feel. I’m checking out some neighborhoods like Eagle Rock, Koreatown...
Someone on Reddit once said, “LA is a great place to live, but not to visit.” Help me see if it’s true!
