Advice Needed. I have approximately 20 days. Northern India or Vietnam/Cambodia?
Hey there, fellow solo travelers.
I need help with a suggestion. Due to me lagging on getting my winter holiday ticket, I can no longer afford to travel during the actual lunar new year holiday, which means that instead of traveling for 4-5 weeks, I can only travel for about 3 weeks. The question I have now, is should I go to India for those 20-ish days, which was my original plan, or should I just head to Vietnam and Cambodia? The initial idea was to spend 4+weeks traveling Northern India, checking out all the spiritual and religious sites of Hinduism, Sikhism, and Budhism, including the birthplace of yoga. The trip was intended to be a trip to help with my spiritual growth, I want to learn about all the religions that originated out of India, as well as get better at my meditation and get a yoga session lead by an OG yogi. However, due to prior commitments to teach at a winter camp (I'm an English teacher in China) and the increased cost of traveling during the lunar new year, I can only do about 20 days. Is it worth it to travel all the way to India if I can only do about 20 days? Or should I just travel through Vietnam and Cambodia and hit the temples and beaches there to possibly find some surf oasis to get my waves fix in. Or if you want to recommend anywhere else, I'm all ears. Finances also play quite a large role in this. Booking a flight this late, a trip to India is about $500, whereas a flight to Vietnam is only $170. But I'm hearing India is much cheaper and should save me money once i'm there. Help me out dudes!
