Guatemala or Nicaragua?

I have 2 weeks off in February and was thinking of going travelling in either Guatemala or Nicaragua, but I'm not sure which would be the better option, considering the timeframe. I've read on Reddit that in Guatemala it takes a long time to get from place to place. Would the travel times from place to place in Guatemala be prohibitively long for me?

I've read that the roads in Nicaragua are very good, and it seems like it's quicker to get from place to place.

My general question though, is which country would you guys recommend, considering the timeframe of two weeks?

Costa Rica could be an option too, but it can be a bit pricey, and I'd prefer to go somewhere new, as I've been to CR before. Although, there are places in CR I'm interested in going to at some point, that I didn't get to see the first time I went there.
