First time solo traveling (as well as traveling) in Europe. (France, Switz, Spain)
Finally pulled the trigger and am embarking on my first ever euro trip/solo trip. I have laid the groundwork out as follows, and would appreciate any pointers, tips, or what to expect.
I fly out of lax to paris and land on 3/15, plan to stay in paris just that day, and the following. I know pari is very expensive so want to limit my time there, i plan to hit up the street wear shops and get a taste of the night life.
On 03/17 I am taking a train to Lyon to visit a friend from college. I plan on staying a bulk of my trip here (skating, drinking, socializing w old friends) until around saturday 03/23.
It is on 03/24 that i will take a train from Lyon to Geneva. I admire the swedish architecture and have longed to visit the Patek Phillipe museum all the rappers rave about.
Following Geneva, my 03/26 train trip then takes me to Marseille to visit another friend from college.
I will stay in the South of France until my flight to Barcelona on 03/29 (or 03/30, havent decided).
Alas, I will conclude my travels in Barcelona and Fly back to Cali on 04/01.
Given that i have never traveled, I cant help feeling a little lost even with my planning. Im a college graduate that has never traveled just finished my first year of professional work, so want to experience as much as possible. I plan to spend most of my time hitting the local pubs, sight seeing the cities, and experiencing the night life, not so much touristy activities. Any advice to stay longer a certain city or shorter in another would be greatly appreciated.
Safe travels
