Working Holiday Visa of 1 year in Canada
Hey fellow solotraverlers, in one month I'll be leaving Belgium for Canada. I have a working holiday visa, which is valid for one year, and after one year I can get a 5-year work permit if I manage to find a sponsorship (aka job) at the end of my working holiday visa (which I intend on doing). I plan on staying in Montreal first, and maybe stay there for the whole year if I manage to find a job I like (hopefully in the translation sector, as I studied translation in college). I just have a few questions.
Would you recommend me to buy a backpack to go there or a regular suitcase ? I think a backpack might be more useful, but as I plan on staying in the same city without really backpacking, maybe a suitcase might be the best solution. I've already taken a look at /r/onebag and /r/backpacks but to no avail.
As I said, I plan on living in Montreal. What would you recommend as week-end trips nearby, or as big trips ? I plan on visiting big American cities (Chicago, Boston, Washington, New-York) as well as Toronto and Vancouver. I know it's a lot and that one year is not that long, but a man can dream.
