Short notice international trip for a week or so - where to go?
I would like to plan, book, and leave to somewhere in a week or less. Would like to go for a week. A little more or a little less is ok. Don't want to spend much more than lets's say 1300 dollars? On major things like flight and hotels and transportation (ok with staying in motels or something cheap, but not hostels). I'm in the US, but would like to go somewhere international. When I travel, I want to see nature. Beautiful landscapes, nature, ruins, temples, wonders, whatever. Last trips were Costa Rica, which had amazing natural beauty, and Scotland, which was also amazing. Nowhere is calling out to me specifically right now...been browsing on here and still don't know what to do or where to go. Was thinking Japan but that looks like it will definitely exceed budget, especially on such short notice. Sweden? Thailand? I'm really open to anywhere out of the US that isn't frozen solid or just a beach destination. Any ideas? Thanks!
