Experience and insight in obtaining a Russian Tourist Visa
I've booked a short backpacking trip from Lithuania through the other Baltic states and finishing in Finland, although at the moment I'm exploring the possibility of obtaining a visa to Russia and spending a week or two between St. Petersburg and Moscow.
The flight to Lithuania is on the eighth of January, and I've heard getting the visa in Helsinki can take weeks (any experience here either would help) so ideally I'd like to get it in London, where I live, beforehand.
Additionally, I've read that it's required that you have two blank pages in your passport. I have (in an Italian passport) one full empty page and two half empties left. I assume one page will be for the visa sticker, and the other for the entry and exit stamps. Any ideas if that's OK?
To conclude, has anybody here had any experience in getting a Russian tourist visa, how complicated was the process and how long did it take?
