Because I (F. 29) was! Just two days ago I came home from my first solo travel. Guatemala, 17 days. I travelled before, but never alone. Well, this was the first and the last time. It wasn’t awfull and most of the time I was enjoying the country and the nice people I met. But I cried my eyes out at least 3 times. Then I called my (boy)friend and feel better. I just felt real lonely at times or social awkward. Even when I just met so much nice people, I just missed a real connection. Someone with who I could share my thoughts or adventures.

I felt homesick so bad. Almost booked a flight home (The Netherlands). But I’m so glad that I didn’t do that. No I’m proud and I’ve learned so much.

Any of you had these same experiences/feelings?
