We'll be doing a loop of the west starting in Washington. Probably crossing states such as Montana, Idaho, North and South Dakota, Colorado, Utah, California, Oregon. Maybe more, maybe less.

We're hoping to be able to use the internet on our phones for maps and other things. What's the best option? A portable wifi device? US SIM cards? Will this be expensive? I'm not sure what the best way to go about this is.

We're from the UK.
