Traveling Solo in your 30s/40s. Tips? Thoughts?
Hi everyone,
I'm quite a fan of traveling at every opportunity and I don't think this love will ever fade. I am getting older though and I'll admit that most solo traveling guides/tips focus on students taking gap years or enjoying world exploration after finishing uni.
I'm a natural people connector so can readily grab a beer with strangers as long as they're up for it. But curious, what are your thoughts when you meet an older solo traveler?
And for those older travelers like me... any tips or new rules for the road you've discovered? I often feel much too old for many hostels. Usually stay at hotels but the social interactions there are minimal to none (since they are mostly families, couples, and business folk). Any countries especially good for hitting the road alone?
Thanks! Love the spirit of this community.
