Roadtrip from Norfolk, VA to Memphis, TN. Looking for any and all recommendations!
I will be going to Norfolk the day after thanksgiving (11/24) for a week. My friend and I are planning a week long road trip (I fly back home to CA from ORF on 12/2). Our final destination is Memphis where we want to visit Graceland, National Civil Rights Museum, Memphis Rock n Soul Museum, eat good foods and just explore as much as we can!!!
We understand its about a 14 hour drive from Norfolk so planning on doing some sight seeing in cities along the way. We'll be driving by Richmond, Charlottesville, Roanoke, Nashvile, Jackson, to name a few off the map. (Driving via 81S and 40W) Anyone who can give any recommendations on what to check out? Maybe some concerts during that week? Restaurants to try? Museums? Record Stores? Literally open to anything.
What's the best way to plan for this. I'm so excited but also clueless!!! Ideally, we would like to drive 3-4 hours in between so we can check out things in between. Our road trip will most likely start on 11/25 and we'll drive back to Norfolk 11/30 or 12/1. Any recommendations will help.
