For Thanksgiving, my mom gave me a bunch of frozen beef (ground beef and steaks) she doesn’t want because her kids have all moved out and she doesn’t eat it. Anyway, what’s the safest way to bring this from Iowa to Kentucky with a night in Illinois?

My thoughts: buy a few jugs of water and bottled water to freeze and use as ice in my cooler. Never opening it until I get there. It will be in the trunk with pretty cold weather. Should be 30degrees overnight in Illinois so it would stay frozen.

Tips and advice appreciated. This is my first time bringing frozen fruit cross country.
