How do I do Ecuador?
I'm leaving in 10 days. I have a buddy pass for flying so I can either arrive at Guayaquil or Quito. I generally enjoy a bit of a party scene, but some beautiful nature sights would be highly appreciated as well. Not as into architecture/churches. My very rough plan at the moment is to land in Guayaquil (from the States), then take the bus to Montanita the next morning. Spend a couple days there, then check out Puerto Lopez and wherever else on the coast is within a couple hours drive.
However, if I decide to land in Quito instead what are some suggestions I could do? Not just in the city itself but anywhere I could make a day trip to? Its a lot further from the Pacific coast but are there any Montanita-esque towns within a manageable distance (by car or bus) from Quito?
Also, feel free to tell me my plan's shit if you have any ideas you think I might like better!
