27M going from Canada. Can't think of anywhere else thats worth going for only 2 weeks. Looking to escape the cold and get some sunshine. I'm at that point where all my friends are married/having kids so I'm on my own. I've never really done the solo travel thing. Looking for recommendations on good hostels where I'll hopefully meet people and make friends, maybe have some easier access to day tours and thing so I can get out and see the sights. Also, I could rent a car while there (though I'd rather not unless its necessary). Would like to do some hiking and outdoorsy stuff, but I'll eventually lay on the beach like a potato.  

 

It'll be probably 10-12 days. Looking for recommendations on what to see/do.
