Checking out Mexico City during daytime for a day - any caution for a female traveler?
I found a great deal to travel to Lima and on the way back the ticket gives 13 hours in Mexico City as a transfer. I am very tempted to take this opportunity to have a glimpse of Mexico but also can't hide my not-so-well-informed fear about the city due to its reputation. I am late 20s Asian female, so I would obviously stand out as a tourist.. Would it worth a try to explore the city by myself for 13 hours? And any cautions for a female solo traveler?
