(xpost) For solo travel in first half of Dec: Taiwan, Oman, or Turkey?
Thoughts from your experiences? I will rely on public / shared transport mostly as I don't have the confidence to drive overseas alone. Base airport to consider: SIN (Changi Airport Singapore).
Male if it matters. Fit-ish and most likely will be active (run, hikes etc but not so much on beach). Not that big of a foodie but like some cultural stuff / buildings.
Don't speak any of the language dominant in these countries. English, German OK. A tinyy bit of chinese just about enough to buy food but can't read
what draws me to Taiwan: hikes like Taroko, cycle around Taipei, hike with view near Taipei. But probably it's best to buddy up for hikes.
Oman: less touristic, maybe try dune bash or desert camping. Hiking jagged rocks with Muscat coastal view.
Turkey: Soak in Istanbul and its cultural stuff. Cappadocia views. Not sure what else.
Definitely open to teaming up though.
