Hello all. This is my first time posting here, and first time considering solo travel. I am a little nervous about it, so I'd like to start small.

I am doing a photography challenge with some friends and I want to be able to take pictures of things not native to Dallas so we don't all have the same kind of pictures - so, I have to venture out or think of something creative. The photography can be rural or urban. I love to travel; I love art museums, food, non-thrill things, experiences. I hate to fly, so not doing that. I don't mind driving.

What places can you recommend to me?

  • I have vacation from Dec. 26 2017-January 5 2018, so I can go at any time.

  • Money is not an issue and I don't mind AirBnB.

  • I don't fly, but I can drive. However, I don't know how to drive in the snow and I'm nervous about that.

  • In the last two years, I have gone to: Houston, Austin, New Braunsfels, New Orleans, Hot Springs AR, OkC, Tulsa, Colorado. I don't mind going to any of those places again either.
