Bangladesh: Which travel mode would provide the best experience? Which travel mode would provide the best experience? - Bangladesh

Which travel mode would provide the best experience?

I'm looking for the best experience that is humanly possible as a 23 year old guy with a budget of over $200k (rationed from $430k investment windfall) as I deliberately travel from where I live in Atlanta to the middle of nowhere Muscle Shoals, AL , stay there a week, and then travel from there to San Jose, CA.

I could drive myself, go at my own pace, and see the sights as I go, but there would be a chance that the magic would wear off and it's more dangerous.

I could take Greyhound and deal with the dirty and sometimes shady stations on long stretches that are behind schedule. That could be a fun thing to talk about.

Backpacking is a decent choice. I could camp out as I go, get in shape, and possibly meet a bunch of cool people, but this would take 4-6 months.

Easiest option is just flying into Muscle Shoals from Atlanta on a regional flight, and from there to San Jose on connecting flights. Wouldn't be as much fun though outside of me using a regional airport for the first time.

There's also Amtrak. I could chill in the cabin and meet folks while I see the country go by and I'd get to visit New Orleans on the Southern Crescent.

Or perhaps I can have fun connecting regional charter shuttles/taxis until I get to my destination.

What do you guys think? Which do you feel would be the most fun?

I'm 22 now, plan to leave next year, no one will be coming with me, I detest winter, and my favorite time of year is very early spring to mid-late summer if that helps. I also have extensively combed over most of San Jose with Google Maps/Streetview for months and know it pretty well by now, so I know what I'll do when I arrive.
