UPS Redirected my passport application. Has this ever happened to you???
So I'm an idiot. I can be the first to admit that. I sent my passport renewal into the Philedelphia passport address. It said to send it via a trackable mail service - so I sent it via UPS since that is what my office uses. It didn't say on the application that only USPS services the PO box and I'm an idiot and didn't realize that UPS doesn't deliver to a PO box.
So instead of returning my package returned to sender ... they redirected it to an address in Delaware. I did some googling and found a thread on a website that has informaiton on passport renewll processes and links to the state website and phone numbers. Anyway - a bunch of people on there said it happened to them to (I'm not the only idiot!) -- but they said their package got re-routed to the correct address.
Has this happened to anyone else and what did you do? I guess I'll just be checking the passport processing site daily to see when it might show up in the system. I'm wondering how long I should wait before reporting it lost and starting from scratch.
