I am currently in Toulouse planning on going to Bordeaux -> La Rochelle -> Ile de Re -> Nantes -> Vannes -> Brest -> Rennes -> Mont Saint Michel...

I am planning to try Couchsurfing (the app) for accomodations. My friend reccomended it and the cultural exchange is something I'm really interested in.

I am probably looking at spending about 2 days in each place but I am flexible. This is a rough itineray for me but I am looking for suggestions of nice places (or places that aren't worth the hype?). Suggestions for places that maybe aren't always mobbed with tourists? The language barrier isn't really an issue for me so small town suggestions are welcome! Is it worth going to Caen, Le Havre or Rouen before hitting Paris? Merci!
