Hey guys,

My brother and I are planning on travelling to Dallas from Ottawa for two days in November. The problem is that he's only 16 (I'm 23). I saw online that it really helps if we have a letter of consent from our parents. The thing is our parents are separated and even though we talk to both, our father won't be in the country at the time of our departure to get his authorization.

My question is for those who have advice or experience in a similar situation. Would it be okay if we just get our mother's approval for the trip? Or do we even need a form since he's my brother and we'd just be going for two days?
