Thanksgiving in Italy
I (31 yr old guy) am taking the week of thanksgiving(us holiday) off and going to Italy with my wife. This won’t be either of our first time in Europe, but it will be the first time in Italy. The rough outline is to fly into Rome mid morning Monday Nov. 20th. Then get into Rome and take the late afternoon fast train to Florence. My return train ticket isn’t until early Friday morning. Giving us Friday through Sunday night in Rome before leaving coming back home Monday morning Nov 27. My thoughts kinda were to just base myself out of Florence. Get settled the first evening have dinner. Then explore Florence and take a day trip to Siena until going back to Rome. Or what would be some other options. I have no rooms booked yet. When I travel solo, I couchsurf for the majority of my trips. I enjoy meeting and interacting with locals wherever my travels take me. Thanks in advance for any tips.
