Spain into the New Year
Hey /r/solotravel,
I'm making my first solo trip out to Spain from December 28-January 15 so I'll be there through the New Year. I'm flying into Barcelona on the 28th, so I'm looking for some advice as to whether there is enough to do in the Barcelona area to stay there for New Years. Or would it be a better idea to stay in Barcelona for only a couple days and take a flight to Madrid instead? Also I'm looking for some suggestions for how much of Spain I can realistically see given my time frame, and also what kind of general path I should take if I'm flying in and out of Barcelona.
I'm way more interested the food/culture/architecture/history/sight-seeing/hiking aspect of Spain rather than any kind of heavy partying.
Thanks!
