Planning my first solo travel excursion!

Hello! I'm a student, just finishing up my senior year in high school. I had a part time job for about a year and a half, so I've accumulated enough money for a (highly budgeted) trip this summer.

I was thinking of traveling through the UK, mostly because there would be no language barrier for a first-time traveler. However, I can also speak Spanish fairly well.

I've estimated a budget of about $3300 for 2 weeks, staying in hostels and traveling by train. Does this seem feasible? Is there a different destination that would be cheaper or easier for a first-time solo traveler?
