Never thought I'd say this
I don't really know if im enjoying my time. Been out for over a month, still got 2 to go, been to Thailand, Vietnam and currently in a hammock in beautiful Koh Rong, Cambodia.
I still feel empty. I split my time between AirBnB's/hostels/guesthouses depending on location and how social I feel. Often times when I choose a hostel its because its the weekend and I want to go do something with people.
I have succesfully gone out with people every now and then, but I have yet to find people who want to do any activities. I am by no means an activity freak, I go see stuff and do stuff every now and then but its not exactly fun alone plus it limits possibilities (for example today I wanted to go kayaking but the kayaks required 2 people and no one was going.
Also majority of the people seem to be 24-30, me being 19 and without exception always the youngest means I rarely have a lot in common with the people I meet. Also majority of the folk I see travel in duos/groups.
I personally blame my nerd background and nordic shyness but I rarely can be one starting conversations, no problems during though.
Anybody relate and/or can give advice?
