Need help with my road trip (Saskatoon-Banff-Jasper)
Hello guys,
My husband and I were planning on going to the Rockies for thanksgiving weekend, however due to a number of reasons he is now unable to attend the trip. I have already booked the rooms, car rentals and tickets to Maligne Lake and the Banff Gondola and it is too late to cancel without paying fees. Also I really really want to go on this trip so I do not want to cancel the trip all together.
I think my two options are: doing it alone (with my dog) or trying to find someone to come with me (highly unlikely since this is so last minute).
I am tempted to try it alone but I am a bit afraid. I have done the same trip (same planning and same itinerary) before but only drove a third of the way since I had two other people with me. This would be my first time driving such a distance before and it scares me. I do not have a ton of experience driving and I can be a bit anxious sometimes. But I also love adventures and have always wanted to do one road trip completely alone once in my life so maybe this could be my chance to do it.
This is the trip:
Friday: Saskatoon-Lake Louise via Calgary Saturday: exploring Banff (Moraine, lake Louise and little Beehive, Banff Gondola) Sunday: icefields Parkway (with lots of stops along the way to see the Athabasca falls, Peyote Lake, the Colombia icefields...) Monday: exploring Jasper (Maligne Lake, Old Fort Point....) Tuesday: back to Saskatoon via North Battleford.
What do you think I should do?
