India itinerary - 60 days
I am a 20 year old Australian Male Heading to India from Sri Lanka by myself for 60 days from the 18th of December to the 12th of February.

What I have planned ahead at the moment and booked to accommodate for busy times is 2 nights in New Delhi when I arrive (gain bearings, get sim card etc), sleeper train to Udaipur (1 night), sleeper bus to Jaisalmer (3 nights, plan to spend Christmas eve in the desert), Jodhpur (2 nights), sleeper train back to Delhi.
After this what I have not booked but plan to do in order with no booking ahead is: Agra (see the Taj and then try leave same night) --> Varanasi --> Jamshedphur --> Kolkata --> Mumbai (fly to cover large distance) --> Goa --> Hampi --> Mysore --> Ooty --> Kasaragod --> Kochi --> Allepey --> Pondicherry --> Chennai (fly home).
I realize in 60 days this is a reasonably ambitious itinerary, however as I plan to be flexible with no booking ahead etc, it is an itinerary that in the end may be missing things, or with different things added all dependent on what actually happens when I'm over there. A question I do have is, the route I've taken, is it a good snapshot of India? (I plan to do Himalayas and possibly northern northern India potentially next year so I haven't included it in this trip). I'm concerned about how I may largely not venture around the middle of India. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
