Hey guys, I'm considering buying a plane ticket to Hungary in May. I want to spend a few days in Budapest and also explore other towns and places in Hungary.

So this will be my first solo travel. Other times, we used our smart phones when connected to wifi to find where we wanted to go through google maps. Since I'm going to be by myself, I was considering purchasing a hand held GPS just in case my phone dies or something. Plus, I truly want to explore the country, so I'll be taking trains to different parts of Hungary.

Would you recommend purchasing a handheld GPS to get around? What do you guys do when you want to get back to your hostel and you don't know the directions?
