First solo trip to Brussels and beyond.

I snagged a great flight deal to Brussels and decided to have a solo holiday (7 days). I know it’s not long enough but I had freedom in my work schedule. I have been to Brussels before and may spend 1-2 days and then grab a train to Germany? Trip is about a month away.

Any tips for first time solo traveler? I normally use air BnB, would hostels be a better bet? I’m not new to travel, I traveled solo in China for work but this was not for holiday and meeting new people was not common due to lack of English and my elementary Chinese.
