A rant of sorta, it's nice to finally find this sub.
Ever see a sub, and it just clicked?
I've been traveling solo for over ten years, since I took that first trip to Baltimore with the hopes of feeling some warmer weather in March. Long before that I would see movies alone, and explore the city near where I lived on my own. I like doing things with people, but finding consistent travel companions that are compatible with my pace is trying. Every young man I meet, and held deep conversations with I've encouraged to pack a bag, get in their car, and go for a solo road trip.
My most recent trip was to New Orleans. After 1900 miles of driving, I was amazed at the contrast between my home environment of desert, and the lush green palm trees surrounding me. I'll never forget those wide hanging willows, with their roots crawls everywhere as the branches spread above, and don't get me started on the food...food and driving, I'd never leave the house if it weren't for those too.
