Where in the U.S. should we go for a 3-night, food-centered vacation? Preferably somewhere with a fancy Hilton property to burn points.
Travel: Flying out of Dallas on Southwest, using my companion pass.
Hotel: I have a two-night Hilton weekend certificate and a ton of Hilton points. Want to use the cert for two nights and make up the third with points.
When: Sometime in 2018, preferably around a federal holiday weekend. Memorial Day in May sounds like a good option. Fly in on Friday afternoon, fly out Monday afternoon.
What I'm Looking For: We'd like to take a trip that's all about eating at awesome restaurants, doing a little sightseeing, and staying in a ritzy Hilton. Preferably a mix of fancy eats and some local gems.
Options So Far: Girlfriend has proposed Denver or San Francisco as possibilities. NYC is another option, but I feel like it would be tough to do much NY stuff on a holiday weekend.
As far as food goes, we're adventurous eaters. Can't think of any type of restaurant we'd dismiss out of hand.
