Trying to plan a Thailand trip in March, need tips.
I searched Thailand came up with mostly pictures, which are great.
I am usually pretty good at creating my own itinerary and being my own travel agent for fares and what not. However, Thailand is pretty foreign to me.
Last summer I planned a 21 day backpacking trip through Western Europe and that for some reason was easier for me.
So I am planning for 7 days in Thailand for next March. Airfare isn't the issue. Its where I should be landing that I don't get. Do I want Phuket? Bangkok? Chiang Mai?
Is the country small enough to travel around it easy? Is there a train like in Europe? Or is it pretty much what part of the country I fly to is where ill be staying majority of the time?
Which cities should I focus on for a week long trip?
Is AirBnB prevalent in Thailand? Is English hard to use in the country? I was stationed in South Korea for a year and I did quite fine, but over time of course.
Anything else I haven't covered I should know?
thank you /r/travel !
